ReelAbilities Film Festival

The ReelAbilities Film Festival was founded in 2007 at the Marlene Mayerson JCC Manhattan by Anita Altman and Isaac Zablocki. The first of its kind, the ReelAbilities Film Festival was created to showcase award-winning films by, about, and for people with disabilities. In 2012, other cities started hosting ReelAbilities events, resulting in 20 cities worldwide hosting their own festivals, screenings, and special programming. What was once ReelAbilities North America is now ReelAbilities International.
