Rock Your World Professional Development Training

Our free professional development workshop at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles is taking place on March 11 and 12, 2018.  ALL EXPENSES ARE PAID for participating California educators, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, workshop fees and meals. 

This engaging workshop, led by one of Rock Your World’s dynamic co-authors,  will feature access to the Museum’s inspiring exhibits as well as prominent speakers on human rights issues.  This hands-on workshop will also include ample opportunities for participants to develop customized approaches for incorporating relevant aspects of the Rock Your World curriculum into their subject area teaching including ELA, social studies, art, music, media literacy, and more.   Teachers who participate in this workshop will become eligible for 1 graduate extension credit through UCSD or  1 salary point credit through LAUSD. Ten narrative and documentary features films have been named the recipients of Women in Film's 31st annual Film Finishing Fund grant program. They were selected from more than 250 feature-length narrative films, documentaries and shorts submitted from 22 countries around the world.

Dan Eldon and Journey headed back to Toronto to participate in the ScotiaBank Contact Photography festival with an exhibit of Dan's photos and journal pages at Artworld Fine Art Gallery. The exhibit was accompanied by a screening of the film on May 7th - followed by the exhibition opening and after party.
