A remarkable true story of a woman’s triumph over an abusive relationship – told through theatre, circus, song and love in a magical tour-de-force. TILLY NO-BODY uses theatrical storytelling to address domestic violence, women’s empowerment, gender equity, and mental health, through the lens of Tilly Wedekind. The play is based on Tilly’s autobiography, LULU: DIE ROLLE MEINES LEBENS (LULU: THE ROLE OF MY LIFE, trans. Bella Merlin). The mission of the project is to share a true story of survival and eventual self-empowerment. As creative activists, we dare to go to the dark places of human experience, but always with humanity, vision, and a lightness of touch. In 2024, TILLY NO-BODY was presented as part of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women
