ROC Community Initiative
The ROC Community Initiative advances sustainability on-screen and behind the camera across entertainment through pro bono consulting, tailored tools and resources, and community collaboration.
The ROC Community Initiative is the philanthropically supported arm of Reality of Change, dedicated to advancing sustainability across the entertainment industry. Working with entertainment partners — including major unscripted studios and production companies in the U.S., and increasingly collaborators around the world — the Initiative focuses on three core areas: increasing sustainability representation on-screen, supporting cleaner production practices behind the camera, and strengthening professional communities of care. The Initiative develops and shares practical tools, guides, and resources to help producers, creatives, and industry stakeholders implement sustainable solutions in their work. It also provides pro bono consulting and advisory services, offering tailored guidance to productions seeking to reduce environmental impact and integrate sustainability into their workflows. By convening industry partners, fostering collaboration, and amplifying sustainability best practices, the ROC Community Initiative empowers the entertainment community to create lasting, systemic change that benefits people, planet, and the future of storytelling.
