The Project Gallery is a collection of projects produced by members of our fiscal sponsorship program and other Creative Visions impact media programs. This includes projects that are currently in production, as well as completed projects.
Defying Autism
A project that raises awareness of individuals who have defied society’s expectations of those on the autism spectrum and encourages the embrace and appreciation of persons with differently wired brains.
The project includes a website, a YouTube channel titled “Milosz Gasior Defying Autism with Music,” a book titled “I Heard the Light,” and a hub of resources for caregivers and individuals with autism to find inspiration and support.
The project was inspired by the life and achievements of Milosz Gasior, a pianist who became the first person with autism to graduate as a piano major from Pinellas County Center for the Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida, marking a significant milestone in the program’s 35-year history.
Milosz was bestowed with the title “Inspirational 2022” by the organization HUG (Help Us Gather) and has actively served as an ambassador for persons with disabilities. In this capacity, Milosz has showcased his piano-playing ability at diverse venues and events, leveraging the impact of his story to raise autism awareness and inspire numerous families facing the challenges of raising a child with autism.
