Kosovo’s Politics of Music
Antidote to Isolation (WT) follows two leading women in Prishtina’s independent music scene; Suada who wants to continue what she’s started, and Edona is expanding her sound internationally. Weaving their storylines of the present and past, we follow how they evolve alongside the building of the new nation. Through an international perspective framed by the filmmaker looking in from the outside, the narrative will trace the emotional journey of young artists who are continuously negotiating living within a literal liminal state, defying the odds to create their own way of living, meaning, and community through music.
