Blowback
BLOWBACK follows whistleblowers after the world has moved on, revealing the personal cost of exposin
BLOWBACK is a documentary that follows whistleblowers after the headlines fade, revealing the lasting personal cost of speaking out against powerful institutions. Through intimate vérité, archival footage, and long-form conversations, the film examines retaliation, isolation, financial fallout, and the difficult process of rebuilding a life after telling the truth.
By focusing on what happens after an act of courage becomes a public story, BLOWBACK asks what society owes the people who expose wrongdoing—and what it takes to create a culture in which speaking up does not require sacrificing your life in the process.
