Weather Under Fire is a gripping investigative documentary that follows charismatic meteorologist and scientist Chris Gloninger as his passion for climate reporting collides with a dangerous reality. Hired by an Iowa news station to “shake things up,” Chris uses his platform to inform the public about climate change. But what starts as a dream job soon spirals into a nightmare. As his honest reporting draws attention, it also provokes a wave of hostility — including threats and harassment — ultimately triggering a police investigation and arrests. Forced to leave his position, Chris uncovers a disturbing pattern: he’s not alone. Across the U.S., climate communicators face similar intimidation, exposing a broader campaign of misinformation and suppression. This powerful documentary not only tells Chris’s personal story but also investigates a national crisis where truth is under attack — and the fight for climate awareness comes at a steep cost.
