Sticky
A bright Kenyan boy must join a gang of street kids in order to survive on Nairobi's mean streets in this “Oliver Twist”-like tale.

Set in Nairobi, STICKY is a feature film about Kimani, 13, a bright boy dreams of one day becoming a pilot. But after fleeing an abusive home, Kimani must find a way to live on the streets and is recruited into a gang of “chokora” (street kids), led by the charismatic Jomo. Soon, Kimani is caught up in the “chokora” life, sniffing highly toxic glue to numb his hunger pains while committing petty crimes in order to survive. After a seemingly harmless crime turns tragic and Jomo betrays Kimani, he has one last chance to escape this life and reclaim his dreams before it’s too late. In the vein of “Slumdog Millionaire” and “City of God,” STICKY is a gritty, realistic, and ultimately uplifting drama about hope and redemption.
