Auscultation
When a young medical student bonds with a VA patient, a regular visit takes an unexpected turn.
AUSCULTATION is a dramatic short film set inside a VA clinic, where a young medical student named Quin conducts what should be a routine visit with Mr. Williams, an Operation Freedom veteran with a complex history of trauma and addiction. With gentle attention, Quin earns his trust, and an intense bond forms between them, only to be interrupted by Dr. Johnson, the attending physician whose hurried efficiency undermines the intimacy of the visit. Quin attempts to protect Mr. Williams’s dignity against Dr. Johnson’s polite, yet jaded approach to care.
