Cloudy and Kite’s Weather Forecast
Cloudy and Kite's Weather Forecast is an animated weekly national weather forecast for preschool children and their families rooted in up-to-date, science-based, weather reporting.
Weather is powerful, beautiful, and amazing. It is infused in our daily lives, affecting how we dress, where we go, and what we do. It even affects our mood. Every day, people watch or listen to weather forecasts to help them prepare for their day. Our project is called Cloudy and Kite’s Weather Forecast, and it is an animated weekly national weather forecast for preschool children and their families. Each week, Cloudy, (a cute little cumulus cloud) and her best friend Kite, travel over a map of the United States and guide children through the 7-day national weather forecast, focusing on current weather conditions with special attention to that week’s weather highlights. All the weather reporting will be accurate, up to date, and science based. Along the way Cloudy and Kite breakdown how different weather conditions occur, dispense helpful tips and guidelines, make new friends, and have fun.
