Project Summary
DJ AM was the entertainment industry's premier DJ, his name being synonymous with what is happening in pop culture. The most in demand DJ in the country as well as a fixture in the night life scene, DJ AM held residencies at multiple clubs in the country, as well as the world over to play special engagements and corporate events.
Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was already a fixture in the music world before his DJing gigs took him global. He had partnered with Travis Barker (Blink 182) to perform a live concert DJ/Drumming set, something never done before. He can currently be seen in the MTV show he produced Gone Too Far, as well as the Activision game DJ HERO. Later this year he will be seen as himself in the release of Iron Man 2.
Adam worked tirelessly to help others through his music, charitable giving, and the personal process of addiction recovery. From the start of his sobriety, Adam spent countless hours over the years counseling and working to aid other addicts in their recovery. In August 2009, Adam lost his own battle with drug addiction. The DJ AM Memorial Fund will keep Adam's spirit of helping alive by funding organizations that continue to do the work that was important to him. |
