Jessica Burnquist

Award winning high school teacher, Jess Burnquist, spent 17 years in classrooms teaching AP Literature, Creative Writing and Honors English. After discovering Rock Your World (RYW), she became a RYW Teacher Ambassador, curriculum writer, and now, Director. Jess has trained hundreds of RYW teachers in association with the Museum of Tolerance and has created curricula for schools, foundations and major organizations like Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University.

Jess earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Arizona State University and is a recipient of the Joan Frazier Memorial Award for the Arts. She has been honored with a Sylvan Silver Apple Award and is a Freedom Writer Teacher.
