Ms. Mayfield brings an unparalleled range of experiences in business, government, and management consulting to her current position. She has been involved in philanthropic endeavors since her childhood. Her passion for helping others has involved serving the public interest through service on non profit boards and volunteering as well as creating awareness of need while being employed in the for profit sector. Ms. Mayfield is also the founder and president of Mayfield Consulting, Ltd., a consulting group specializing in professional development and career transition services for the legal profession. Over the last twelve years, in her role as president of Mayfield consulting, Ltd., she designed and implemented a series of uniquely effective approaches to attorney recruitment, development, and outplacement. Her consulting to law firms has enhanced the quality of professional development for attorneys. Ms. Mayfield’s business experience includes work as an executive leadership consultant with KRW International, a premier executive development organization, and varied positions in the international marketing division of Mobil Oil Corporation, where she worked with senior management in developing and implementing worldwide marketing communications strategies in 110 countries. Prior to her employment at Mobil Oil, Ms. Mayfield held positions in the U.S. House of Representatives, The White House, and Time Magazine. While enrolled in a graduate social work program, Ms. Mayfield was awarded a coveted Fellows appointment at Cambridge City Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching facility, where she worked as a clinical therapist in the internationally acclaimed Victims of Violence Program in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ms. Mayfield holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Psychology from the University of Alabama, and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Simmons College. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Girls Club of New York and The Financial Women’s Association of New York. She is a current board member of the Creative Visions Foundation and serves on the advisory boards of The New Ellis Group and Madison Square Boys and Girls Club. She is an activist, philanthropist and involved supporter of various non-profit organizations in Boston, New York City and international locales. She has traveled to 40 countries worldwide. |
