DAN ELDON CENTER

The Dan Eldon Center

Dan Eldon Center for Creative Activism

In a world of seemingly unlimited social, environmental and humanitarian challenges, many people would like to take action but simply don’t know where to begin. The Dan Eldon Center serves as the headquarters for Creative Visions Foundation and provides the tools and resources for anyone, anywhere, to transform bold new ideas into projects and productions that can create sustainable, measureable, positive impact both locally, and globally.

Inspired by the life and legacy of artist, adventurer and creative activist Dan Eldon, a Reuters photojournalist killed at the age of 22 while covering a conflict in Somalia, the Center is committed to Dan’s belief that within each of us, there is a creative spark that can be used to fulfill our potential, not only for ourselves, but also for the world. We seek to ignite those sparks across the globe, bringing a new sense of hope and possibility to those who haven’t forgotten how to dream.

Located on the top floor of in a landmark building bordering Santa Monica and Malibu, the Dan Eldon Center’s experienced and energetic team fosters Creativity and Curiosity, Courage and Community through

  • educational curricula
  • arts and media projects
  • “train the trainer” sessions
  • webinars
  • seminars
  • screenings and
  • creative activist boot camps

Together, they give creative activists the tools and resources needed to create sustainable projects with measurable impact.

Hirsch Bedner Designs, the world’s leading Hospitality design firm, generously donated the design and interiors for the Center, which offers “the most inspiring views in Malibu.”

Encompassing 2200 sq. feet of office and conference facilities, an art gallery, and a 1000 sq. foot deck dotted with olive and kumquat trees, the Center is equipped with state-of-the-art video-conferencing facilities that can be rented for parties, board meetings, corporate events, screenings or exhibitions.
