Seventh Fire Premiere

Seventh Fire US Premieres

CAP Project The Seventh Fire, recently reviewed in The New Yorker, will celebrate it’s New York and LA premiere this month! Join us in either city to hear from the filmmakers and subject, Rob Brown. More information is below on the film and the screenings hosted by Creative Visions:

Executive producers Terrence Malick and Natalie Portman present this haunting and unflinching nonfiction film directed by Jack Pettibone Riccobono. When gang leader Rob Brown is sentenced to prison for a fifth time, he must confront his role in bringing violent drug culture into his beloved Ojibwe community in northern Minnesota. As Rob reckons with his past, his seventeen-year-old protégé, Kevin, dreams of the future: becoming the most powerful and feared Native gangster on the reservation.
The Seventh Fire premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and was selected for a special screening at the White House in March as part of President Obama’s criminal justice reform campaign.
