June Sundowner feat. Seablood

Sundowners are our favorite Kenyan-borrowed summertime tradition -- drinks, music, and phenomenal people gathering to toast to a beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean and learn more about creative activism.

We're excited to feature our Creative Activist Program (CAP) project, Be Relentless - a documentary that follows Norma Bastidas on her journey to break the record for the longest triathlon, 3,762 miles from Cancún, Mexico to Washington, D.C. Her goal being to educate the world about sexual violence and human trafficking, to empower surviveres, and inspire action to end this modern-day incarnation of slavery.

PERFORMANCES BY

Seablood --indie folk rock sibling duo from LA

In this presentation for National Geographic entitled Painted Bodies of Africa , photographers Carol Beckwith and Angela Fisher recall their many stories of anthropological travel as they document some of the oldest visual traditions and ceremonies in the African continent.
