Creative Visions

CV Turns On LA (again)

Before you start reading this feeble attempt to recap one of the most monumental events for our foundation, do yourself a favor and play your favorite Aloe Blacc song as you read along.

After months of preparation, our team assembled at their respective stations as the guests began to arrive at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica.  One by one, some of our favorite faces, longtime supporters, and, of course, the belles of our ball – our creative activists began trickling down the red carpet following a team of drummers (because that’s normal) into a ballroom that would have made Cinderella jealous.

Once everyone took their seats, the program for the evening commenced with a few pieces of heartfelt media, followed by a number of awards presented to individuals who deserve far more than applause and who represent the very reason why our organization exists.

Awardees for the evening included: Chris Temple & Zach Ingrasci (Living On One), Malala Yousafzai (watch her video acceptance here), Sanjay Rawal (Food Chains), Lekha Singh (Beyond Right & Wrong), and finally Sanjay Gupta (accepted by producer Danielle Dellorto)

Poet In-Q silenced the room with his incredible spoken word performance. And finally, the evening concluded with a stellar performance by Aloe Blacc, who in our eyes, really is The Man.

It’s an overwhelming feeling to look across the room and see so many people that support us and who believe in our vision. To those of you who attended: we are encouraged by your presence, humbled by your generosity, and blinded by your radiant sparks. Thank you for making it a special night and sparking what we know will be a revolutionary year for Creative Visions.

Onward!
