UPRISE is an idea production company that moves people to engage more deeply with themselves and the world by any medium necessary. These include film, television, documentary, interactive online video, theater, stunts, and mediums we are still in the process of inventing.

“Ads for Ideas” is our first initiative. We are directing short compelling narrative that sell an idea versus an issue or product. The first two “Ads for Ideas” sell the idea that access to information is a human right.

Over 6 billion people do not have access to the Internet, and even those of us who do continue to debate how “free” and “open” it should be. The U.N. has declared Internet access a human right, saying it is an “indispensable tool for realizing a range of human rights, combating inequality, and accelerating development and human progress.”

Now this is an idea worth advertising!

Our first Ad for Idea is about a group of geek Navy SEALs who wire towns with Internet overnight.

The second Ad for Idea is a thriller that follows a piece of animated information running through the streets trying to outrun the Internet police.

This is what we need: funds to pay for the hard costs of animation, motion graphics, visual effects production, a matte painting, and developing a custom video player.
