Former CNN journalist Charles Tsai is using online multimedia to inspire and educate youth to become effective changemakers and social entrepreneurs.

Through his new website, Social Creatives, Charles is creating and curating the best tools, programs and resources that help youth learn the best practices of social innovation.

One program he’s scaling globally this year is a video-based competition called Fun for a Change, in which student teams design and implement fun ways to create measurable impact. They use video to document their ideas in action and submit them in a global competition that helps spread their creative solutions.

Social Creatives is betting that this fun multimedia-based approach to social change is the key to engaging many more young people in making a difference.
