Elizabeth Wood Coldicutt – Tao Te Ching – A Photographic Journey

Posted by

The Tao Te Ching – A Photographic Journey, an initiative of the Caroline Victoria Arts Foundation (CVCAF), is a museum-quality book that bridges time and space by expressing the ancient wisdom of Chinese philosophy of the Tao Te Ching through the modern medium of photographic art.

As in Art, the interconnectedness of our human experience is also one of the central themes of the Tao. Whatever the challenges and frustrations of our individual lives, the Tao Te Ching, written by Lao Tzu in 500 BCE, invites us to recognize that beyond our perceptions of individuality and separation exists a deep and elemental unity that connects all humans one to another, to nature and to the entirety of the universe.

Our project will promote and support arts education globally by raising social awareness and encouraging a new spirit of understanding between Eastern and Western thought.
